Moralzarzal to Cerceda
This is a linear route of 4.4 kilometres in distance and low difficulty that connects the towns of Moralzarzal and Cerceda. The route starts in the vicinity of the Moralzarzal sports complex, where there is a large car park. From this point we take the pavement that surrounds the complex, following the Calle de Guadarrama in the direction of an industrial area. On reaching the industrial estate we turn off to the right. After passing through a dirt esplanade used as a parking area, we turn left to go around the industrial estate on a dirt track. After leaving this area behind, we take a path parallel to the industrial zone. This section ends at a gate, where a pedestrian crossing is located and takes us into the neighbouring pastureland. From this point, we shall follow a rural dirt track that is easy to walk along, which we shall continue along without great difficulty until we reach the outskirts of the municipality of Cerceda. Near Moralzarzal we take a small wooden bridge to cross the Arroyo de FuentidueƱa stream. After the bridge we join a road without a pavement which runs gently uphill and will take us directly to the end of the route next to the car park of the Cerceda football ground. Although this is a simple route that can be done at any time of the year, we recommend avoiding this itinerary on very hot summer days, as the route takes place in open, clear terrain with few shady areas and no water fountains at any point along the route.
