Becerril de la Sierra. Green ring.
The route starts and ends near the Alto del Hilo recreational area, very close to the foot of the Navacerrada reservoir dam, which allows us to walk through some of the most unique areas of the municipality. During the first section of the route, we walk parallel to the Navacerrada river. Alternating walks and residential areas. The banks of the river will lead us to the Caastilla range, which will introduce us to the second part of this route, the Dehesa del Berrocal and Gargantilla, where we can find a juniper and holm oak forest of great value. From this point we will have some of the best panoramic views of the Sierra de Guadarrama. We will continue on to reach the pine forest on the slopes of Alto del Hilo, made up of large stone pines that offer wonderful views of Becerril de la Sierra, on our way back to the starting point.
